Indian Fashion Blog : Styling Culottes on a Rainy Day

Culottes are everywhere these days. When this trend hit the internet fashion brigade, I thought it will be short lived  and will fade into oblivion by the end of the season. Surprisingly, after two seasons – It’s still going strong and therefore we all can safely assume that this trend is here to stay. The comfortable and stylish culottes are flattering for any body type. As I was styling culottes for the first time I decided to keep it safe and I chose black color. The idea was to create a casual OOTD which is perfect for the monsoon season. I styled these Zara Culottes with a grid printed monochrome top from United Colors of Benetton. Although, I would love to pair these with sneakers or espadrilles, I styled them with these Catwalk strappy heels as I was going out for brunch with friends and wanted to keep this outfit a bit on the dressy side.

What I absolutely love about culottes is that they are stylish but comfortable. Keeping the Indian Monsoon in mind these are perfect for romping around the city when it is drizzling. I would love to experiment with floral or geometric printed culottes in the coming days. I have been hooked to this trend for good! How about you guys ???

Hi Kathleen , Thank you !

  • These wide leg pants are MY current fashion fixation. I was in search for the perfect culottes and it took me a lot of store walk-ins and walk-outs till I walked into the Marks Spencer store and was struck by lightning and delirious when I owned these super cool skorts!
