It’s always great to meet a room full of like-minded people. I guess that is the best things about platforms like indiblogger. Recently I had a chance to attend a beauty product launch with indiblogger and I must say I was overwhelmed by the presence of so many talented and creative people.

Kose Cosmetics Japan has launched their products in India. I was impressed by the research and strategic positioning that the brand has built for their foray into the Indian market. The strategy was an amalgamation of years of experience and sharp marketing skills.

The first set of products released for the Indian market is skin care and skin brightening products.The range includes moisturizer, cold cream, face mask and various skin whitening products. The basic concept behind the product design is for us to have a product range to choose from that can enable us to have a spa-like experience within the luxurious confines of our homes.

Based on the concept of refreshing and revitalizing the skin for a fresh, after-spa glow, the Spawake range will be marketed keeping in mind women in their 20s and 30s living in urban areas of India.All the products contain an extract of Japanese kelp (Laminaria Japonica) and sea salt, which are commonly used marine cosmetic ingredients. By protecting one’s skin against UV rays, drying and the harmful effects caused by environment, the products cater to urban women fighting daily environmental stress.

Aditi Rao Hydari is the brand ambassador for Kose Cosmetics.Speaking about her association with the brand, the actress commented saying, “It’s a privilege to be associated withKOSÉ and to be launching Spawake in the country. The products define a winning combination for me, fusing traditional techniques with advanced Japanese skin care technology. Using natural ingredients from the sea, these products are perfect for urban women with a busy schedule. Japanese women are admired world over for their skin and hair and it’s exciting to be a part of a brand that aims at bringing some best-kept beauty secrets, known for centuries in Japan, to Indian women”

KOSÉ will initially launch a range of selected products for the moisturizing and  whitening category to satisfy strong demand for these types of products in the Indian market. Together, these two skin care lines will consist of two types of facial cleanser, four types of moisturizing cream, and one cream face pack.

All the guest attending the event were handed over full sized samples of the launch. I personally love the look and feel of the packaging and will be reviewing the products in the coming week. Please stay tuned for the detailed product review.
